Brad will provide live music featuring ʻukulele and vocals in the manner and at the time and location discussed.
The client will provide a safe stage space, parking, and compensation as outlined below.
Stage requirements
In order to have successful, fun, and safe show for all, Brad’s performance location needs to include:
- A minimum sized, dry space with a flat, solid, well drained surface:
- Solo w/PA – 10×10′
- Solo acoustic – 6×6′
- For outdoor gigs, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that adequate covering is provided for the performance to shade from sun and keep dry from rain
- The slightest bit of wind will blow rain across the entire floor of an 8×8’ Costco pop-up. These will NOT keep Brad’s gear dry – even if you put two next to each other! If using pop-up tents, please have additional tarps/side walls available in case of rain
- Power at the stage site (n/a for acoustic gigs)
- Either via a nearby outlet or heavy-gauge extension cord
- The power circuit is exclusively to be used by Brad – no power strips or daisy chains for other uses
- Voltage must be within a 110-125V range
- If a generator is required, it must be 3000+ running watts and should be connected to a ground rod and covered to reduce noise bleed
Access requirements
- Access to the stage location is required at least one hour before music start time to allow Brad time to set up PA gear and get situated (15 minutes for acoustic gigs)
- The client will provide point of contact, gate codes, or any other resources required for accessing the site
- A parking spot within 100’ is preferred for PA gigs
- Alternatively, Brad needs to be able to wheel a cart a reasonable distance from load in parking to the stage location. This route must be ADA compliant
- When the distance from load in parking to venue exceeds 100 yards, transportation must be provided
- A restroom that can be used by Brad
Time on site
- Brad will play music at agreed upon start time unless the client and Brad agree to postpone the start time
- Brad will conclude playing music at the agreed upon end time, regardless of any event-imposed delays or breaks – NO EXCEPTIONS. Additional play time can be negotiated, if schedules allow, at a rate of $500 per hour
- “Hana hou”s (encores) are not included unless pre-planned into the schedule and any over-time songs are played strictly at Brad’s discretion
Payment/cancellation/weather policy
- Brad requires a non-refundable 50% deposit to confirm a booking which can be paid via:

- In the event of weather that endangers Brad OR his gear due to lack of adequate cover, Brad reserves the right to cancel the performance at any time
- Brad does not play when a hurricane watch/warning or tropical storm warning coincides with transportation, setup, or performance – a refund will be offered
- Brad will only play during a tropical storm watch or major storm if the event is inside or has an oversized, heavy duty outdoor covering
- Other weather events are generally assessed at time of setup
- In the event of illness or emergency requiring cancellation by Brad, a refund will be provided
Performance expectations
- Song requests are accepted solely at Brad’s discretion. Songs not already in repertoire are billed at $200/per (two song maximum)
- Any recordings or photo/video of Brad’s performance that will be used publicly must be approved by Brad prior to the performance
- Licensing for the performance of copyrighted music is the sole responsbility of the client, if applicable
Volume levels
- Brad can accommodate a wide range of performance volumes. It’s the event contact’s job to advise Brad on suitable volume levels throughout the event
- Brad plays as loud or as quietly as he’s told; in the event of noise complaints, the client will handle ALL interactions with guests/neighbors/police
