Hawai’i Island musician, Brad Bordessa, releases Point A
Honoka’a, HI – Hawai’i Island musician, Brad Bordessa, released his debut album Point A in early April. Featuring five original songs, the EP-length project takes listeners on a musical journey spanning genres from folk rock to Hawaiian style ballads, all produced and recorded by Bordessa.
A long-time ‘ukulele player, Bordessa is accompanied by Isaac Wang on slack-key guitar for the opening track, “Carve,” and drummer Ryan Higgins adds his beats to “Aerial.” But Bordessa shines alone on the remaining tracks, showcasing the versatility of his chosen instrument. In fact “Surfing Sunlight,” his upbeat solo piece, has become the surprise fan favorite.
“I’ve been writing original songs on the ‘ukulele for years,” says Bordessa. “It’s so much fun to finally share them with the world.”
Brad Bordessa is a graduate of the Institute of Hawaiian Music at University of Hawai’i, Maui College. In addition to performing and recording, he is the webmaster of the popular LiveUkulele.com and a member of Hawai’i Island-based band, Anthrophony.
